Vinnie O’Connell explains the ‘Heroes’ Wall’
Vinnie O’Connell talks about his plans to planting a timeline of flowering plants in this long strip of land: from Basal monocolpates (waterlilies), to the first terrestrials (magnolia), through medieval plants as depicted in folklore, through 17thC imports, right up to the native plants of the present day (e.g. pelargoniums, roses and wild poppies).
April 2013 – a volunteering day down at the New Leaf railway garden. The terrace was built this day from recycled logs and 18 tons of soil.
